1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using StelloWave's bill payment platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this platform. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and StelloWave.

2. Description of Service

StelloWave is a comprehensive bill payment platform that allows users to pay various bills including but not limited to:

  • Electricity bills from all major distribution companies
  • Mobile airtime and data subscriptions
  • Internet service provider subscriptions
  • Cable TV and satellite subscriptions
  • Educational institution payments
  • Government services and tax payments

We act as an intermediary between you and service providers to facilitate secure and convenient bill payments.

3. User Account Requirements

Account Creation

To use our services, you must create an account by providing accurate, current, and complete information. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

Account Security

You agree to immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. We recommend enabling two-factor authentication for enhanced account security. StelloWave will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with security requirements.

4. Payment Terms and Processing

Transaction Processing

All payments are processed in Nigerian Naira (NGN). Transaction processing times may vary depending on the service provider but typically complete within 1-24 hours. Some transactions may require additional verification and could take up to 72 hours to complete.

Service Fees

StelloWave charges convenience fees for bill payment services. These fees are clearly displayed before you complete any transaction. All fees are non-refundable except in cases of system errors or failed transactions that result in payment without service delivery.

Failed Transactions

In the event of a failed transaction, we will attempt to reverse the payment within 5-7 business days. If you experience any transaction issues, contact our customer support team immediately with your transaction reference number.

5. Wallet Services

StelloWave provides digital wallet services for your convenience:

  • Wallet funds can be used to pay bills instantly without repeated bank transfers
  • Wallet funding is subject to daily and monthly limits as determined by regulatory requirements
  • Wallet withdrawals are processed within 1-3 business days to your registered bank account
  • Wallet transactions are secured with multiple authentication layers
  • Unused wallet funds do not expire but may be subject to dormancy fees after 12 months of inactivity

6. User Responsibilities and Prohibited Activities

Permitted Use

You may only use StelloWave for legitimate bill payment purposes. You must provide accurate information for all transactions and ensure you have authorization to pay bills for the accounts you specify.

Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for money laundering, fraud, or any illegal activities
  • Attempt to breach or circumvent security measures
  • Use automated systems or bots to access the platform
  • Share your account credentials with third parties
  • Make false or fraudulent transactions
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the platform
  • Use the service to pay bills for accounts you do not own without proper authorization

7. Data Protection and Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. We collect, use, and protect your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable Nigerian data protection laws including the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR). By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Limitation of Liability

StelloWave provides bill payment services on an "as is" basis. While we strive for 100% uptime and accuracy, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Our liability is limited as follows:

  • Our maximum liability for any transaction is limited to the amount of that specific transaction
  • We are not liable for delays or failures caused by service providers or banking networks
  • We are not responsible for consequential damages, lost profits, or indirect damages
  • Our liability does not extend to service provider policies or service quality
  • Force majeure events (natural disasters, government actions, etc.) exempt us from liability

9. Dispute Resolution

Customer Support

For transaction disputes or issues, contact our customer support team within 30 days of the transaction date. We will investigate and respond within 7 business days. Most disputes can be resolved through our customer support channels.

Escalation Process

If a dispute cannot be resolved through customer support, it may be escalated to mediation. Any legal disputes will be governed by Nigerian law and handled in Nigerian courts with jurisdiction in Lagos State.

10. Regulatory Compliance

StelloWave operates in compliance with all applicable Nigerian financial regulations including Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) guidelines for payment service providers. We maintain appropriate licenses and registrations required for our operations. Users must comply with all applicable laws when using our services.

11. Service Availability and Maintenance

We strive to maintain 24/7 service availability but may perform scheduled maintenance that could temporarily interrupt service. We will provide advance notice of planned maintenance when possible. Emergency maintenance may occur without notice to protect system security and integrity.

12. Account Termination

Termination by User

You may close your account at any time by contacting customer support. Upon account closure, any remaining wallet balance will be refunded to your registered bank account within 7 business days.

Termination by StelloWave

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activities, or pose security risks. In such cases, we will provide notice and refund any legitimate wallet balance after deducting applicable fees and investigating any suspicious transactions.

13. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, service marks, logos, and intellectual property on the StelloWave platform are owned by StelloWave or its licensors. Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the platform for bill payment purposes only. Reproduction or distribution of platform content without written permission is prohibited.

14. Amendments to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our platform. We will notify users of material changes via email or platform notifications. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

16. Severability
